Whole30 Prep

Here's a brief rundown of how I get ready for a Whole30. I start with a calendar and plan out some meals, especially dinners. From there I make a grocery list and make sure to get essentials before day 1.

Being a busy family of 5, this is essential. I also make sure my kitchen it stocked with things I love and know are Whole30 compliant.

I need to have things I can just grab and go or cook quickly if needed.

I spent the day today getting a few key things ready. I made a seeet potato hash (bacon, onion, peppers, apple), hard boiled eggs, sweet potato toast, and some guacamole. Now I have things ready for breakfast and snacks right away tomorrow.

I'm also making sure we try at least 2 new recipes a week to keep from getting bored. I've been using paelobailey.com (this is a family fave: http://www.paleobailey.com/lemon-basil-chicken-thighs/) a lot and also the instapot!  Go get one if you don't have  one. They are amazing. Here is a link to some great recipes https://therealfoodrds.com/30-whole30-instant-pot-recipes/

Tonight I've cleaned the kitchen, set the coffee machine up, got the Nutpods in the fridge, have my food plan for the morning, my clothes laid out to exercise, and now I know I can start day 1 in full force. Here we go!!!!
