Hello friends! Today has come to a close and day 1 of my new lifestyle has come to a close. Here's a recap:
I started the day (and yesterday) by taking some pictures of and my "before" photos. They are not very pretty. But, this is the reality. This is what I see everyday and what I am frustrated with. Yes, I know I had a baby. But she is almost 9 months old and at some point, I cannot use that as an excuse. Unfortunately, if there is an excuse, I will use it and run with it. I have been horribly. These photos show that even if you do some exercise, it is not enough. I have been doing barre3 4x week and getting in my 10k steps a day, and it's not enough. So, here we go. I'm committing to barre3, running, and Whole30. I can do it. I can't wait for the "after" photos!
After that, it was time for breakfast. Using the hash I had made yesterday, I fried to eggs in ghee and topped the hash. I made black coffee and then used my hazelnut Nutpods for creamer. Perfect!
After getting the kids to school and Parker down for nap, I used her nap time to start my new running. I am using the couch to 5K app. I made a great playlist and now just need to find a race to use as my goal.
I had to get cavities filled today (yikes!) so I had a quick, compliant hot dog for lunch with a couple of grapes. For a quick snack/post cavities I had an iced americano (black) and a hard boiled egg.
Dinner was delicious! We have modified an old Weight Watchers recipe to be Whole30. It is sausage, peppers, olive oil and balsamic. Jamie added some mint leaves and garlic powder for enhanced flavor. Jamie and the kids eat it on bread and I eat it as a salad. I had a bowl with cherry tomatoes, avocado and basil with olive oil and balsamic on the side.
After getting the kids to bed, I made salmon salad for tomorrow, cleaned the kitchen, and got the coffee machine ready. Day 1 crushed!
